FIDEL SANDERS (2/27)

Bernie's win in Nevada has released a floodgate of political noise about the horrors of socialism and communism and state control and how we shouldn't vote for him because he can't defeat Donald. But perhaps Bernie and those who voted for him are onto an idea here. Is the hard working, forever patient, forever tolerant working American public getting tired of being at the beck and call of big business and seeing their efforts create wealth but the benefits going somewhere else? Perhaps they are getting tired of fighting for health care, decent schools and day care for their children, exhausted by keeping up with the mortgage payments, swamped by offers of cheap loans from the big banks and having to load up their credit cards in the hope that down the road they will somehow have the money to pay them off. Bernie's message resonates. Government should be about the needs of the majority not the few, not just the rich. His supporters are not after revolution just fairness. If you work hard and care about society, you shouldn't be penalized. Some of his radical proposals won't stand a chance of success in Congress but he is a decent, honest man who cares about his country.
