FRONT PAGE (4/07)

Couldn't get past the front page of The Republic this morning. I am keeping it as a memento. I can't imagine the serious discussions you must have had in order to come to the decision to go with "lonely zoo animals" as your main lead. Are the snakes lonely, too? Do you think we should volunteer? And as for all the spiders and tarantulas stuck in their little glass cages pining away for a bit human companionship, it boggles the mind. Perhaps I should start a charity called PLIZ, Prevent Loneliness in Zoos. Would you like to be the first to contribute? Certainly more cheerful that depressing stories of slightly less people dying in New York, Voting Rights, Boris Johnson in Intensive Care, and the fact that a White House adviser warned of a pandemic back in January. We need more stories about lonely zoo animals please. How many lonely dogs and cats are being put down this week? There's a burning issue for the front page tomorrow.
