The sight of President Trump throwing tantrums, hurling his toys at his minions and like a pantomime villain, exploring every weak link or chink in the voting system to try to overturn it, gives little satisfaction. That he shows not one ounce or one smidgeon or teeniest particle of compassion or empathy for the sick and the dying and those risking their lives to keep the country going should in no way surprise. He plays golf and works out who he is going to bring pressure on next, whose moral backbone can be bent. He is going down into the Republican ranks bullying, cajoling, bribing with favors like the pretend mafia boss he is. As power drains slowly out of his presidency, he looks a little more bloated, a little shabbier and more disheveled. If you have been abandoned by Mitch McConnell, you're desperate. The word "hubris" resonates from the bricks and mortar of The White House, along with the smell of the sweat of the slaves who built it.. "Defiance of the Gods leading to nemesis." Presidents either grow up or blow up. This President chose the latter.
