INTER-GALACTIC NEWS BULLETIN (8/28)

Exciting news from quadrant 33 of the spiral galaxy 60 in the Milky Way. New discoveries of humanoid remains, uncovered by the robotic probe which landed two weeks ago show that this minor planet, once partially covered by ice, had signs of extensive biological infestation and carbon growth forms. Our computers have not yet completed their full diagnoses of the data but it would seem that the extensive burning of fossil fuels led to a carbon rich atmosphere, melting the icecaps and flooding large portions of the land, killing off flora and fauna and eventually making the planet uninhabitable for the humanoid life forms. Tests reveal that the seas continue to support macrobiotic and viral forms of life as well as primitive types of vertebral life forms. The new discoveries reveal evidence that hominids once built large coastal colonies, but were unable to sustain their numbers once their agriculture became unsustainable and so retreated to rural areas where they survived in small groups for an indeterminate period. Early tests show that numerous zootoxic infections also decimated their populations. Next week - new reports of interesting life forms in Alpha Centauri.
