THE WAR ON THE CORONAVIRUS (4/13)

This coronavirus is deadly, crafty and clever. It is highly infectious and may kill 3% of those infected. Our President has declared war on it. The mortality and infection rates in Germany, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea have shown us how to fight it successfully. Testing and social distancing and setting up task forces to find and isolate the infected and all their contacts. We must protect the most vulnerable, the old and the sick, those in Long Term care facilities and homes for the aged. We must protect the doctors and nurses working in the front lines, the food suppliers and vital services. Are we doing this? We are testing those who show symptoms, but are we testing our nurses and doctors? Are we testing those working in Care facilities? Are we testing those front line workers? If not, then when? Is there a task force setting up facilities where these workers can get tested and where eventually everyone can go for a test? The faster we do this the sooner we can defeat the virus and get the economy humming again. We need government which is as clever and as nimble and as intelligent as the virus. That's how you defeat this enemy. When do we start? The virus is not waiting.
