Like all Americans, I believe in democracy. Communism and fascism are the same beast. I fight extremes because they embody the idea of trying to force someone to do what they want. I disagree with Republicans on many issues but I always felt that they wanted a better America, to improve the lives of people, strengthen the social fabric with better schools, roads, a cleaner environment, a sound medical system for all its inhabitants. I want a viable system of immigration as John McCain did. I want the DACA kids to belong. I want a fair system of justice which doesn't disproportionately imprison those who are poor and excluded. My idea of America is to raise up people, make them better, not kick them down the ladder. Isn't that what we all want? In this pandemic I ask myself whether this is an impossible dream. Suddenly we spend billions to mitigate the consequences of a health crisis which should have been prepared for. We have a health system which only works for a percentage of the population but not for those who makes our lives function. This is not right and we need to change our priorities. Where is the Republican Party now?.
