A QUICK REVIEW, A SAD REMINDER (11/29)

I returned to Viewpoints to re-read Jim Jordon's editorial about the judiciary being used against parents protesting at school board meetings. The more I thought about the prominence given to Jordan's views by The Republic, the more appalled I became. That a man of dubious moral character, awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom by Trump, whose complicity in the Jan 6th attack on Congress has yet to be fully revealed though the initial evidence looks suspicious, should be given this prominence makes me wonder about the motives and standards of The Board. That Jordan is a ranking Committee Member of the House Judiciary Committee makes it even worse. Cicero wrote, "A nation can survive its fools, even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within...for the traitor appears not to be a traitor..he rots the soul of a nation..he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist." Jordan supported lawsuits to invalidate the election results. He has been in the front line encouraging the idea of a stolen election which you rightly debunk but the rot continues and hasn't stopped because men like Gosar, Biggs and Jordon stoke the flames for their own political purposes.
