I swear I am not superstitious. At least I don't think I am. If I alter my behavior because I think something unpleasant might occur, I always blame my mother. She said, "Don't put shoes on the table. It's bad luck." That makes sense. Bacteria etc.. "If you spill salt, throw a pinch over your left shoulder." Or was it the right? I can't remember. I try not to use salt in any case. My mother would warn me to look out for black cats crossing the road in front of me. It had to be left to right. Judging from the number of times this hasn't happened, I can only conclude that most cats, black or otherwise, must have got run over. Friday 13th? Difficult one. Don't want to tempt the Gods even though I don't believe in bad luck. I do believe it's better to be cautious. Keep your head down. Don't look for trouble. I am not superstitious I just try to be careful. Happy Friday 13th. Oh and be careful of the Scottish play. Don't say the last line of the curse or else you're really "f*****."
