GOD HELP ARIZONA (3/10)

When you have a Republican politician from Scottsdale who thinks you need a mask to prevent yourself from catching AIDS, and then his cohorts in the Senate who think draining off groundwater in Arizona to make quick profits for foreign investors is perfectly acceptable, you have to wonder whether there is any hope for the future of Arizona whatsoever. A slightly worse thought is that these politicians were elected by fellow Arizonans who seem to care so little about Arizona and so much more about their bank balances that destroying what we all love is irrelevant. So the San Pedro river dies! So the Colorado runs dry! So the land cannot grow crops because there's no water! So the forests burn! So what! According to them that may or may not happen. In the meantime let's make money with more places to gamble in, let's dig into a mountain sacred to Native Americans for more copper, let's ignore our dead from the pandemic. Let's all listen to the bunch of politicians we sent to Washington like Gosar who have nearly brought the country to the brink of disaster by tacitly supporting insurrection and who now want to undercut voting rights. That's the future? Wow!! God help Arizona.
