I was taken aback. A whole page of letters, all chosen randomly on a variety of subjects ranging from learning relevant civic values from living in Chicago's West Side, the joys of listening to the Grateful Dead on the summer solstice, Republican revisionist nut jobs, confusion among the COVID infected, concern for a proper definition of those who died as a result of the invasion of Congress, the political affiliations of the owner of our down and out Diamondbacks, teaching Juneteenth without being political, (good luck), totally unscientific ideas about flu and COVID and of course... The Chinese who started it all. Finally the joys of non-existent non-bipartisanship. I was overwhelmed. America in a nutshell. Confused and confusing (see Trump). I think the country is now on the up and up. Everything made clear. Good to see the readership of The Arizona Republic on top of everything and the editors knocking the nails adroitly into the political and journalistic coffins. No wonder the suicide rate is so high. Hand me the fentanyl will you?
