Today Gabriel has another "Get Biden" moment. Find the hypocrisies, the contradictions. Here's one promise Biden made Gabriel fails to mention. Biden said he would get out of Afghanistan. He kept his word. What would Gabriel have said if he hadn't? Probably twisted it around and said the same thing. It's all political smoke and mirrors, feeding political partisanship. Biden came into office in January and the debacle in Afghanistan is now all his fault? The country has seven ethnic groupings, two languages, a GDP of $500 per person and a long history of turmoil and war. It's been the crossroads of Empire for thousands of years. We've propped up the country for 20 years with money and blood. We got Bin Laden. There was time for the Afghan people to come together as a nation. We made it too easy for their leaders not to. They were too comfortable. They already had their flights booked out. Biden cut the Gordian knot. It's messy but America does not build empires. Let China, Russia, Iran fight over the bones of a country which doesn't want to be a country. It's not Vietnam. Vietnam was one country fighting for its independence from colonial rule. We need to understand geopolitics.
