Governors are elected to lead. They make decisions which protect citizens and the state. They are responsible people entrusted with the lives of citizens. Sometimes they are competent. Sometimes they are faced with a crisis which tests their mettle and intellect. We have had such a crisis, a pandemic. Our Governor made decisions, decisions which in retrospect were unfortunately not aimed at protecting the lives of people but on satisfying his political supporters and the Trump administration. When it came to deciding whether people's lives or businesses were more important, he dragged his feet and protected business. The net result - 17,779 people dead from the Corona virus to date. 17,779 people, the biggest loss of life from a pandemic in Arizona history. A tragedy of numbing proportion. In numbers we are just behind New York and Mississippi. The whole of Australia has lost 910 of its citizens. The country locked down quickly. Our Governor has no shame. Now he is telling the universities they are not allowed to protect their students by requiring them to be vaccinated. This is leadership? This is insanity and needs to end. He has no shame.
