Wall's don't work. They never have done. For every twelve foot wall there's a thirteen foot ladder. The Arizona Republic won a Pulitzer Prize for its coverage of the border and the proposed wall. The latest photographs in today's paper of the desecration of our National Parks and lands sacred to Native Americans by the building of the wall literally made me weep. The stupidity, the damage to the sensitive ecology of our State, the legacy we pass on to our children, surely we should be ashamed? The wall stands as a monument to failure. Those who called for it should be made to walk along it and witness the horror. The voices of those who made it a political issue though quieter now, are still there. They have no shame. The farce going on at the Coliseum is their farce. The politicians they voted for carry on a merry jig spouting nonsense because they believe spouting nonsense gets them votes. "Have you no sense of decency?" once killed off McCarthyism. To all those who called for and supported this wall, "Have you no sense of shame." Does Ronald Reagan's call "Tear down that wall Mr Gorbachov" mean anything to you?.
