Just read the Governor's State of the State address. Is everything coming up roses or what? All you people worried about the survival of democracy and right wing insurgencies? Not a problem. He never mentions it. Education? It's going gangbusters... tons of profit for those establishing charter or private schools. Academic standards? Fuggetaboutit. Public schools are for poor people who don't care about the education of their kids, full of nasty, unionized, left wing teachers, trying indoctrinate the kids into thinking that America is not the shining city on the hill or did some bad sh** in the past. And don't worry about the Colorado running out of water or temperatures in Phoenix getting like Baghdad. We're goin' to invest your money in a billion dollar water desalination plant in Yuma. More profits to be made and jobs! New prisons now for profit! There'll be more criminals. Deaths from Covid? Fuggetaboutit. There's money now for a new, bigger wall. Forget the homeless, the poor or those you can't afford the rent or medication. So life expectancy is going down! Only for the poor and the old. Rich Americans believe in free enterprise.
