Republicans can be dismal, frightened people. Many appear and sound poorly read and poorly educated. Some don't believe evidence and don't have the ability to understand the facts. But they have opinions. Lots of them. Lots of opinions on everything. But no facts. That might require thought and careful debate and the weighing of evidence. Like where do chem-trails come from? Is a white supremacist racist? Now Republicans want to throw teachers in prison if they dare to teach the kids to think...they want to control the kids' minds. Republicans are firm adherents of the philosophy of "monkey see, monkey do." They want to control the curriculum. They don't think that Principals and kids are intelligent enough to sort out who are the good teachers. Of course if you recruit your teachers from the poorly educated and pay them peanuts then you're bound to get a few strange ones. I want my kids to be stimulated and to think. I don't want them brainwashed. It's called freedom of thought. Education. Learning. The more the better. Lots of debate. Internationally we have a second rate education system. Republicans seem to want it to be third rate. So thinking is dangerous. Good.
