Ducey's Legacy (8/16)

Phil Boas' approval of ex-Governors Ducey's support for Trump and Lake and his venomous characterization of Democrats as foul mouthed "simps," "suck-up," and "dolts" who nurture pathological hatred for all Republicans echoes the type of political extremism which only engenders further anger. Maybe ex-Governor Ducey is decent and affable but his hesitancy implementing measures which might have lessened the death toll from Covid meant Arizonans paid the price with their lives. Our death rate per head of population was twice that for the State of Victoria in Australia which has the same population and area and which introduced masking, social distancing and mass vaccination promptly once they understood the extent of the problem. Perhaps the anger that Boas detected is not from nasty Democrats but from all Arizonans, and in particular those who lost their loved ones. Ducey's approval of Trump and Lake are example of a man with no moral awareness who seemed unaware of his responsibilities for the welfare and safety of the people he governed. He now approves of a man who is a convicted felon and a woman who peddles lies and supports violent retaliation. Loyal Republicans are expected to have some moral fiber.
