Hopefully the House will pass the long debated bill to aid Ukraine, Israel and SE Asian countries. This is a vote for democracy over autocracy. It's a vote for freedom and demonstrates that level-headed men and women in Congress can come together and vote for what is right for America. It puts aside the bickering and the tribal partisanship and the mouthing by politicians of Russian misinformation fed to them by internet trolls. The President is now weaving a difficult and delicate path through the quagmire of Middle East politics hopefully one which will nurture peace and not war, one which guarantees safety for Israel and a road to self-determination for Palestinians. We stand by Ukraine as partners against the aggression of Russia's Putin. We stand with the countries of SE Asia as they resist China's attempts to intimidate and establish their own hegemony. Most of the money will go to American companies, many in the very states whose politicians have opposed the bill. It is comforting to know Americans can stand together to defend freedom. There is more that unites us than divides us. We must all make every effort to keep it that way over the next seven months.
