Where are we Going? (7/07)

Since the Biden/Trump debate, American politics and the press have been in a turmoil about whether Biden is fit to be President for another four years - a fair question given his age. What has disappeared from the discussions, however, is whether Trump after his attempted coup in 2020, his lawsuits, his spouting gibberish at rallies and his moral and intellectual poverty, can be entrusted with the keys to the White House again. Instead of just sending some hot heads down to try to take over Congress by force, The Heritage Foundation has developed Project 2025 a comprehensive blue print for the take over of the Government, to maintain and consolidate Republican hold on power. This Republican dictatorship would in their eyes be preferable to liberalism. The silence in the press about the plan and its extremism seem to indicate that there are large numbers of Republicans in favor of taking power by force rather than letting it fall again into the hands of Democrats. Republican pundits continue propagating a Trump-lite political message. Is this the way American democracy has to end? Shouldn't we be moving away from extremism toward the political center as per France and the UK?
