There is a bright side to the new administration in Washington. More people are learning about and studying the Constitution and what it can and cannot do faced with a President pushing the boundaries of his own authority and the rule of law. Health wise, if Kennedy is right about vaccines more people will die so we will know whether vaccines are effective or not. If a new pandemic like Covid hits and there are no scientists to investigate its source and spread or how to resist it, this will slim down the population which should increase productivity. Cutting the NIH and withdrawing from WHO will leave us vulnerable to more diseases from abroad and so increase our understanding of disease. With more very rich people we will have more big houses with multiple bathrooms with big garages with more powerful cars so speeding from one set of traffic lights to the next will be faster. Salaries of gardeners, maids, hotel and construction workers, will rise if we can't find replacements for the million or so deported workers. Flying will be more dangerous, so more exciting. Older people without homes or medicine will die earlier so making significant savings on Medicare. At last foreigners will really hate us and we can make great savings avoiding expensive foreign travel. So many good things to anticipate. What did you vote for?
