The Birth of One Eye

The universe shook minutely

And a black hole
contrary to expectations and the laws of physics
spat out a great mass
of materials
which coalesced and
sped everywhere
splattering itself across galaxies

She was waiting obediently
as expected
and opened her legs at the right moment
then her womb started to swell and swell
till it was fit to burst

she fled in pain to the most insignificant galaxy
and clutching a couple of little planets in each hand for relief
went into labor

It was a hard long labor
eventually she popped
and out he came

one eye

his mother looked at him with disgust
what a travesty

but there he was
one eye in the middle of his forehead
not what she expected
he smiled sweetly and
she spat at him
