Another Day

Another day and the light changes
Imperceptibly. Shadows lengthen.
Today, accidents will happen or not.
Families will die in car wrecks
And the world will turn again
Either to the left or to the right
Or to the right or to the left
Depending on the direction you're facing.

Ant heaps will grow larger or not
Thanks to the industry of the inhabitants
Suffocating the vegetation or not
Until the whistle blows
And the players take their bows
And light knowingly slips
Into darkness
And then back into light
Again and
Then again.
