Something Rotten in the State of Denmark (8/17)

The bromance between Putin and Trump is obvious. The warmth, the affection, the smiles and handshakes, "Come have a ride in my big beast." But something smells. There's something rotten in the state of Denmark but what? Russia is the enemy of the US. Isn't it? Where do their missiles point? Where do our missiles point? Trump is ruthless to those he sees as powerless. He calls it the art of making the deal. He and Vance happily kicked Zelensky in the teeth in the Oval Office and ambushed the president of South Africa... Trump is tough... supposedly except if he has something to lose and then he has to tip toe. Mustn't offend Vlad. Must be nice to Vlad. Must be his friend. Why? What's Trump frightened of? Doesn't he understand that Putin doesn't want a deal, he just wants Ukraine. He's KGB. He'll take a bit now and then a bit later. (cf Catherine the Great) Like Netanyahu who wants the whole of Judea....softly, softly catchee monkee. Putin has time. Netanyahu has support. Another forty months and they'll see the progress and try again. All this has absolutely nothing to do with the Ritz Carlton in Moscow of course. That's history. For now. Just politics. We all know that!
